SAN PEDRO SULA, HONDURAS
In June of 2010 a group of 11 from Christian Life Church made the trip to San Pedro Sula, Honduras. For more than a week the team helped out in various locations of the city. They started by focusing on a small church. There, they built a roof by hand mixing cement, and hand cutting rebar. They also worked on creating new spaces in the church by tearing down walls and securing the one and only bathroom in that small church. The team packed bags of food and handed them out on foot in the smaller town of San Francisco. The team helped clean and serve over 50 drug addicts in a rehab center. They also reached out to kids as a part of Charlie’s Lunch in San Pedro Sula.
In the summer of 2007, 8 members from Christian Life Church set off on a mission to spread God’s word to a town of people in Zimbabwe, Africa. While there, the team formed an unbreakable connection with the people. Amongst other things the team helped out at a local school and were able to wash the feet of the children. Through donations, they were able to put shoes on the feet of those without any shoes.
Nearly a year after Hurricane Katrina hit we found many whose homes were still in shambles. The hurricane was devastating and made it hard for many to get back to their normal lives. In November of 2006 a team of four handy men from Christian Life Church answered the call and made a trip to Sliddel, Mississippi. They helped to rebuild the home of a woman with four disabled and adopted children including providing her with new appliances. In the end, the team was able to bring hope and joy to the family.
